Elicyon has unveiled its latest masterpiece: a luxurious 16th-floor penthouse in Westminster, offering unparalleled views of the city skyline. This 3,218 sq ft residence, located at The Broadway, seamlessly blends urban luxury with timeless sophistication, creating a haven of character and elegance against the backdrop of 360-degree London vistas.

Positioned uniquely between the historic buildings of St James’s and the contemporary architecture of Victoria Street, The Broadway inspired Elicyon’s design approach. The challenge was to infuse warmth and character into a space adorned with antiques while harmonising with the distinctive contemporary features of the building.

The client’s vision was clear—to craft a home that epitomises urban luxury, fusing contemporary and mid-century styles to create a unique character. The design aimed to celebrate the breathtaking views of the London city skyline while ensuring bedrooms offered sanctuary, comfort, and privacy.

Functioning as a show apartment, the base palette remained neutral and flexible, allowing pops of colour through soft furnishings, artwork, and decorative objects. The terrace, a crucial element in the design, was meticulously curated for flexibility in entertaining styles.

The project’s narrative unfolded with a romantic touch, sparked by a twentieth-century Italian scagliola plinth. This singular object, with its soft hues, heritage craftsmanship, and delicate balance between classic and contemporary, set the tone for the entire apartment, weaving a narrative that became the guiding ethos of the design.

In the words of the designers at Elicyon, having the opportunity to build a design around such a unique and inspiring piece was truly wonderful. The result is a penthouse that not only captivates with its stunning views but also enchants with its timeless luxury, a testament to Elicyon’s mastery in creating spaces that transcend the ordinary.
