KA DesignWorks has crafted a serene four-bedroom, single-story retreat where luxury meets nature on a picturesque riverfront landscape. The inspiration for this home began with its lovely rustic site, aiming for a design that blends gracefully into the tranquil 15-acre Carbondale setting. Nestled off the beaten path, the design embraces its flat terrain, capturing breathtaking views and crystalline water courses.

The single-story layout features charming, low-slung lines and inviting wings that seamlessly extend into the landscape, creating ample covered outdoor spaces for relaxation. With its simple yet striking gables and harmonious flat roofs, this residence radiates a warm, welcoming ambiance that feels perfectly at home in nature. KA DesignWorks departed from the common practice of opening the house’s entry to the views, instead opting for a large, covered intimate space at the heart of the home. This area warmly welcomes and engages visitors, building anticipation for the stunning unfolding of the home and its breathtaking surroundings.

This thoughtful design prioritizes connection and intimacy, ensuring every arrival feels special and memorable. The design beautifully adapts to its surroundings, using them as an asset to its appeal. For instance, a concrete slab initially poured by the previous landowner as a place to park RVs was repurposed as a vibrant pickleball court. Expansive openings seamlessly connect to various patio areas, effortlessly integrating indoor and outdoor living, and enhancing enjoyment of the surrounding nature.

KA DesignWorks has ensured that this residence not only adapts to but also enhances its natural environment, creating a harmonious blend of luxury and nature that provides a truly serene retreat.
