Harrods Interior Design has recently completed a spectacular project, transforming a luxury show apartment situated on the 42nd floor of the Thames City building in Nine Elms for international clientele. Nestled in a riverside location, this vibrant development offers city dwellers proximity to luxury shopping destinations and exceptional restaurants while surrounded by greenery.

The project aimed to capture the essence of the location and emphasise nature in the design, in line with Harrods Interior Design’s ethos of beginning every project with a compelling concept. Situated near the prestigious Tate Britain art museum, the apartment was designed to immerse the client in the heritage of the area and the modern movement of the art world.

From the entrance hall, reminiscent of a grand gallery, to the living area adorned with textured walls and elegantly layered sculptural forms inspired by Henry Moore, every space exudes the spirit of London. Bespoke artwork by renowned artist Jan Erika features within a bedroom, adding a contemporary flair. The design seamlessly blends functionality, luxury, and artistic references into a visually stunning and culturally immersive experience, catering to the design brief of entertaining friends and family.

Harrods Interior Design carefully curated a colour palette inspired by the surrounding landscape and panoramic river views, boasting embossed wallpaper and marble accents that beautifully contrast dark bronze detailing and contemporary wood flooring. Bold patterns and textures, representing different eras of creativity, add depth and character to the space, creating a visual journey through time. Our commitment to delivering exceptional interiors is reflected in the selection of high-quality furniture and finishes throughout the apartment.

One of the team’s favourite aspects of the project was the opportunity to design in a contemporary area of London, overlooking an awe-inspiring skyline. From the apartment, you can see glimpses of monumental London landmarks such as the Houses of Parliament and St Paul’s Cathedral. Our expert designers used this as an opportunity to channel and embrace the significance of the location. Drawing inspiration from British architecture, the design blends harmoniously with the skyline, making the apartment a true testament to London’s rich cultural tapestry.
