A one-of-a-kind luxury residence, Only Once Residence 69 was conceived as a singular and non-repeatable interior defined by bespoke craftsmanship, rare materials, and timeless European refinement. Located within Steinway Tower at 111 West 57th Street, the project embodies the Only Once philosophy developed by the interior design firm Rita Chraibi for ID, where each commission is approached as a unique and unreplicable work.

The brief called for an interior that moved beyond conventional notions of luxury and avoided standardised design solutions. Rather than applying a recognisable style, the design process focused on creating a space entirely specific to one client, one location, and one moment in time. Every element was therefore developed exclusively for this residence, with no intention of replication or adaptation elsewhere.

All furniture, joinery, and architectural detailing were custom designed and produced by Maison Royale in Europe, in close collaboration with specialist artisans whose craftsmanship guided the creative direction. A restrained palette of rare marbles, including Calacatta Gold Oro, Copacabana, and Saint Laurent, was paired with refined textiles from LeLièvre, Zimmer + Rohde, Élitis, and Dedar, selected for their texture, depth, and longevity.

The interior responds sensitively to the verticality and prestige of Steinway Tower while introducing warmth and intimacy. Rather than competing with the architecture, it provides a calm and composed counterbalance within the intensity of New York City. The result is a residence that feels precise, personal, and timeless, where architecture, materials, furniture, and detailing form a cohesive whole—an expression of the Only Once philosophy by Rita Chraibi for ID.
