The brief was to create a unique triplex in a stainless steel gated cobbled mews off of Old Street, Central London. 1.61 London wanted to enhance the industrial warehouse exterior surrounding, by incorporating a contrasting luxurious interior design style. The curved steel framed roof structure and wood clad frontage with warehouse style windows was the creative platform from which the luxurious overlay design started and evolved.

In the reception room, the curved steel roof structure was exposed and a powder coated paint finish was applied to their surface,in-setting mirrors into the steel central recesses. This arched down from the kitchen and dining space, leading through to the seating area and curved terrace doors. The transition from inside to outside in this area was a key requirement for the project. Luxury was included with the vaulted double height entrance to the master bedroom, with visible glass reveals from the reception room. These reveals were positioned symmetrically around a polished plaster feature walls with hanging industrial pendants centred either side. The master bedroom hallway with floor lights and double height antiqued mirrored sections, guide you through into a private study and bedroom suite. The master bed wall includes a central panel of antiqued mirror straddled with diamond lattice wallpaper sections and a modern low bed design. The bed wall vista is replicated on the perpendicular wall with feature art work, using LED lights and hanging pendants as accentors. The shower in the master bathroom needed to be a sanctuary of relaxation. 1.61 London designed a reflective silver mosaic central panel to the back wall, and echoed the design on the floor.
