Perfectly tailored for glamourous entertainment or calming respite, this sparkling pied-a-terre at the St. Regis Kuala Lumpur combines a sophisticated palette, bespoke details and panoramic views of the iconic skyline for a fashion-forward young family.

Designed for the owners of a retail fashion empire, the residence needed to provide comfort and respite for a young family of four as well as be suited for hosting large, glamorous functions and events. It had to be appropriate for very stylish clients and their important guests whilst also offering a peaceful and comfortable space for them to unwind in private and to watch their young family grow.

Flow, circulation and operational considerations with a hospitality approach were key in achieving spaces that could seamlessly serve intimate cocktail parties or large dinners for twenty. The glowing onyx bar, with its custom blown glass feature pendants, and wine display wall serve as the anchor of the formal living room and work beautifully for functions as well as a feature of the space.

Similarly, the grand dining room with an open display kitchen, complete with pizza ovens, can be revealed from behind a screen of painted and lacquered art panels, with just the push of a button. The clients use this element often and invite celebrity chefs to entertain and dazzle guests at their dinner events. Hidden pantry areas are strategically located throughout the entertainment areas and concealed behind mirrored walls so staff can discretely service the guests.

A very “fashion-forward” approach was taken with the detailing and selection of materials and colours and a scheme that was fresh, elegant and timeless was achieved. Finally, a sprawling custom wardrobe and dressing room were designed with bespoke details and lighting to house and display the clients collection of high end fashion and accessories.
