Nestled in the heart of Kensington Gore, London, overlooking the iconic Royal Albert Hall and Hyde Park, lies a breathtaking interior project by Bergman Design House. The project is set within a stunning listed building built in 1879 by R. Norman Shaw in the Queen Anne revival style, which stands as a testament to timeless elegance and architectural grandeur.

The regal facade of the building, with its intricate balconies and graceful arches, complements the exquisite interior design crafted by Bergman Design House. This project spans a single horizontal level of 3,700 square feet, featuring three bedrooms, three en suite bathrooms, a living room, dining room, powder room, and a closed kitchen. Each space within this elegant abode has been meticulously designed to blend sophistication with comfort.

In the living and dining rooms, Bergman Design House opted for a striking palette of royal blue and earthy brown tones. This contrast evokes a sense of opulence and warmth, with the deep blue hues symbolising depth and tranquillity, while the cognac colours add an organic and grounding feel. This harmonious blend uplifts the mood and creates an atmosphere of unparalleled luxury and refinement.

One of the standout features of the design is the bespoke marquetry veneers adorning the walls of the private foyer between the His and Her suites. The intricate straw and timber marquetry, along with St. Lauren marble architraves embraced by ecru-coloured paint, add a touch of ethereal magic to the space. The use of Rosa Portuguese marble in the Her en suite further enhances the romantic and luxurious ambiance.

Drawing inspiration from the awe-inspiring Hyde Park and the surrounding architectural marvels, Bergman Design House seamlessly merged nature with design. The entrance foyer features a full panoramic biophilic wall panelling and art, bringing the outdoors inside. Hand-blown glass wall lights, resembling delicate leaves on elegant branches, add a whimsical touch to the space.

This project by Bergman Design House exudes an enchanting blend of nonchalance and regality, defined by a feeling of elevated luxury and serene comfort. Every detail, from the bespoke marquetry to the carefully chosen colour palette, showcases the studio’s commitment to creating spaces that are both sophisticated and inviting.

Bergman Design House has transformed this historic residence into a majestic symbol of London’s architectural beauty and cultural heritage, providing a sanctuary of elegance and luxury in the bustling heart of the city.
