Joaquin Homs has unveiled his latest masterpiece, a stunning oceanfront property in the exclusive La Punta Estates of Punta Mita. The estate, known as Casa Akai, stands as a testament to Homs’ commitment to excellence and meticulous attention to detail.

This beach house spans a generous 1800 square meters, undergoing significant remodelling and expansion under Homs’ visionary guidance. The estate boasts a prime location, perched on the tip of the Punta Mita peninsula, offering over 180 feet of awe-inspiring ocean frontage. The coveted position affords breathtaking views, including the Marietas Islands, with stunning sunrise and sunset vistas.

An essential aspect of this project was preserving the existing architectural charm designed by Jose Iturbe while integrating the brilliant ideas of Architect Guillermo Michel. Furthermore, Homs orchestrated the addition of three distinct basements, each serving a unique purpose: a Game Room, a Home Theatre, and a Bar. The existing eight bedrooms were meticulously renewed, each exuding its ambiance, and the beachfront bedrooms benefited from an elegant pool extension.

As you enter Casa Akai through an inviting courtyard filled with lush palm trees, an artful water feature adds a tranquil touch to the setting. The estate provides ample living spaces, including eight spacious bedrooms, a fully-equipped gym and spa, service rooms, and a rooftop patio lounge area, a perfect spot for starlit gatherings. The Master Suites offer a sense of a self-contained haven, complete with a spacious private terrace, ideal for morning coffee with an ocean view or a nightcap under the starry sky.

The heart of this remarkable villa is the main living area. It features an open-concept design, characterized by a double-height custom palapa ceiling. This architectural marvel seamlessly blends the indoors with the outdoors, leading to a private infinity-edge pool that overlooks the Pacific Ocean, making it the ideal spot to witness the breathtaking sunsets.
