Hinojosa Design Studio, renowned for its innovative approach to interior and exterior design, was granted complete creative autonomy in the transformation of a space—an exhilarating yet demanding endeavor. Faced with a predominantly rectangular floor plan, the studio embarked on a journey to infuse height and grandeur into the residence by integrating arches and portals throughout.

Responding to the client’s directive for a fusion of “mid-century modern” and “Latin flair,” the team ventured beyond Miami’s conventional design norms. Embracing this unique vision, they curated a warm and inviting ambiance, marrying a rich earthy palette with the vibrancy of the client’s art collection. Marble flooring in the living areas and bleached walnut herringbone in the bedrooms added layers of sophistication to the aesthetic.

A standout feature of the design is the bespoke walnut harp screen greeting visitors upon entry, symbolizing privacy intertwined with transparency—a nod to the client’s Bolivian heritage in millwork craftsmanship. This attention to detail extended to the utilization of barrel-vaulted ceilings in the powder room, strategically employed to create a sense of vertical expansion and airiness.

The success of the project can be attributed to the collaborative efforts of an exceptional team, culminating in the client’s delighted response upon completion. The design not only realizes the client’s vision but also surpasses expectations by seamlessly marrying form and function. By harmonizing aesthetic appeal with practicality, Hinojosa Design Studio has crafted a space that exudes elegance and comfort, epitomizing the essence of sophisticated living.
