Faced with the challenges of limited ceiling height and a compact footprint, Die Zwei – Heimkino GmbH developed an innovative architectural solution by excavating the front section of the room to create a lowered viewing area. This intervention optimised speaker positioning, improved sightlines for multiple seating rows, and provided the necessary clearance for the Sony GTZ-380 projector, while establishing a distinctive focal point within the interior.
Acoustic performance was carefully integrated into every aspect of the design. The front and rear walls were constructed as open baffle systems with deep acoustic insulation, while bespoke fabric-wrapped panels discreetly conceal absorbers and loudspeakers. Custom Beckersounds loudspeakers, manufactured in-house by Die Zwei – Heimkino GmbH, were individually engineered to achieve a highly precise 11.1(8).4 audio configuration, complemented by strategically positioned subwoofers following Trinnov WaveForming specifications for exceptionally balanced sound reproduction.
