Casa Monti, a luxurious five-star hotel nestled in the artistic heart of Rome’s Monti district, stands as a stunning showcase of interior designer Laura Gonzalez’s signature style. Blending traditional Roman craftsmanship with a refined contemporary sensibility, Laura Gonzalez has created a space that celebrates the spirit of the city while offering a uniquely modern experience.

Located near the Pantheon, Casa Monti features 26 individually styled rooms and 10 spacious suites. Laura Gonzalez drew inspiration from the vibrant Monti neighbourhood, known for its artisanal culture and creative energy. The hotel is part of the Leitmotiv Collection, a group committed to combining luxury with local heritage, a vision brought to life through Gonzalez’s expert eye for detail and storytelling through design.

The hotel’s lobby evokes the ambiance of an antique Roman home, with amphorae crafted by Filadelfio Todaro and plaster busts by Marina Mankarios. Laura Gonzalez incorporated frescoes, custom ceramics, and vintage items sourced by Atelier 27, grounding the design in Italian tradition while introducing modern elements to create a timeless yet fresh aesthetic.

The rooftop bar, featuring a striking mosaic by Clara Holt, offers panoramic views of Rome, while the in-house restaurant, led by Chef Umberto Tuccio, honours Roman culinary traditions with contemporary flair. The spa, designed by Susanne Kaufmann, reimagines Roman bath culture in a modern setting.

Laura Gonzalez’s design for Casa Monti demonstrates a deep respect for local culture while delivering luxurious comfort. Every detail reflects a harmonious balance of tradition and innovation. With this project, Laura Gonzalez has crafted more than a hotel, it is a vibrant tribute to Roman artistry and the essence of the Monti district, offering guests an immersive and elegant Italian experience.
