Jumeirah Marsa Al Arab is an ultra-luxury resort designed by Killa Design, redefining hospitality in Dubai through fluid architecture and immersive spatial experiences. Tasked with complementing the iconic Jumeirah Burj Al Arab and wave-shaped Jumeirah Beach Hotel, Killa Design envisioned a trilogy of beachfront landmarks reflecting Dubai’s architectural evolution. Their narrative flows from the traditional forms of Madinat Jumeirah to the modern dynamism of Jumeirah Marsa Al Arab, expressed as a sculptural structure inspired by a luxury yacht setting sail.

The design is rooted in movement and maritime heritage, featuring a bold residence curve and a 36-metre grand arch, which reimagines the guest arrival experience by framing the Burj Al Arab. The spatial journey continues through a yacht-like lobby, immersive F&B venues, and landscaped terraces offering 270-degree sea views. Killa Design’s approach places equal importance on architecture, setting, and guest journey—ensuring every space is deeply connected to place.

Sustainability is embedded in the design, with passive shading, green roofs, greywater recycling, and efficient energy systems. The GRP façade, fully modelled in Rhino 3D, enabled seamless fabrication of continuous forms. The Quay Wall Villas—floating above a rock revetment—represent a world first in integrated coastal design.

Internally, the design reflects Dubai’s coastal identity with marine-inspired textures, handcrafted furniture, and regionally sourced materials. Every element—glazing, stone, timber, and textile—was chosen for performance, longevity, and to evoke understated luxury. Jumeirah Marsa Al Arab embodies Killa Design’s ethos: timeless, innovative, and contextually responsive architecture.
