EPR Architects has completed the interior design for Rosi, the new modern British restaurant at The Beaumont in Mayfair, creating an immersive dining destination where art, interiors and architecture work together as a unified experience.

Led by acclaimed chef Lisa Goodwin Allen, the restaurant occupies a reimagined space within the luxury hotel. EPR Architects was tasked with transforming the existing restaurant, moving away from its darker and more masculine character to create a brighter and more welcoming environment that celebrates contemporary British dining while remaining sensitive to the building’s Art Deco heritage.

Central to the design concept developed by EPR Architects are newly commissioned murals by artist Luke Edward Hall. Rather than treating the artwork as a decorative addition, EPR Architects used the murals as the foundation for the entire interior scheme. Hall’s pastel tones, whimsical imagery and playful patterns informed the restaurant’s colour palette, material selection and overall atmosphere, resulting in a cohesive environment where every element feels intrinsically connected.

To support this vision, EPR Architects carefully refurbished and enhanced existing furniture, fixtures and equipment while introducing new materials and finishes throughout the space. Tabletops crafted from Rosa Aurora marble and soft green grey Costa Smeralda granite bring colour and durability, while banquette seating upholstered in rich green and coral velvet reflects the hues found within the murals. Striped wallpaper applied to columns references motifs from the artwork, while decorative wall lights and carefully selected fabrics add further layers of texture and visual interest.

Respect for the Grade II listed building remained a key consideration throughout the project. EPR Architects incorporated subtle Art Deco references through geometric detailing, stepped mouldings and balanced symmetry, complemented by polished and brushed brass elements that echo the hotel’s existing architectural features.

One of the most distinctive spaces is the intimate private dining area, where a mural depicting a couple dining together creates a romantic atmosphere. Enclosed by a curtain in Dedar’s A Love Supreme fabric, the space combines expressive artwork, rich materials and carefully controlled lighting to enhance the sense of occasion.
