Located on the prestigious Bodrum Peninsula within the renowned Mandarin Oriental Bodrum development, Mandarin Oriental 03 is a refined coastal residence designed by interior design studio escapefromsofa. Conceived as a tranquil sanctuary, the project exemplifies a thoughtful approach to contemporary Mediterranean living, where architecture, landscape, and interiors are seamlessly integrated to create a timeless and deeply personal environment.

The design philosophy centres on establishing a harmonious relationship between the built environment and its natural surroundings. Rather than relying on decorative gestures, escapefromsofa focused on the careful orchestration of space, proportion, materiality, and natural light. Expansive openings, fluid spatial transitions, and meticulously framed views create a continuous dialogue between the interior spaces and the surrounding landscape, allowing the sea, sky, and coastal setting to become an integral part of everyday life.

A restrained and authentic material palette reinforces the residence’s calm and sophisticated character. Natural stone, warm oak timber, textured lime plaster, and handcrafted finishes were selected for their tactile qualities, durability, and ability to age gracefully over time. Soft, neutral tones contribute to a serene atmosphere, while bespoke furnishings and custom-designed joinery provide individuality without disrupting the overall sense of visual clarity and balance.
