Milá – 135′ Cruising Ketch

F-DR Yacht Architecture Studio has unveiled Milà, a 135 foot cruising ketch that challenges conventional yacht design through a bold fusion of sculptural artistry, fluid form, and advanced craftsmanship. Conceived as an exploration beyond the studio’s usual geometric precision, Milà embraces a more organic and expressive design language, drawing inspiration from the sensual curves and dynamic surfaces of Catalan architecture, reinterpreted through a contemporary, cyberpunk lens.

At the heart of Milà lies F-DR’s enduring philosophy: life at sea should feel both liberating and deeply connected to the elements. The ketch configuration enables a remarkably spacious and versatile cockpit divided into four interconnected zones, beach, helm, sun, and dining. These areas flow naturally into one another, descending gracefully toward the water to create a rhythm of movement and intimacy. This terraced arrangement offers a seamless balance between open social spaces and private retreats, redefining how guests interact with the sea.

A sculptural glass dome crowns the yacht, defining its striking silhouette while flooding the interiors with natural light. Below, an intricate interplay of materials brings Milà’s personality to life, handcrafted striped teak and ebony woodwork introduce warmth and texture, contrasting against sleek metallic surfaces that reflect the sea’s ever-changing hues. This dialogue between natural tactility and futuristic sheen embodies the project’s central theme: the harmony of tradition and innovation.

The yacht’s aesthetic is both timeless and avant-garde. Its double masts recall classic maritime heritage, yet its reflective hull and fluid geometry give it a cinematic, almost living presence on the horizon. Every line of Milà serves a purpose, to enhance the experience of sailing, to celebrate craftsmanship, and to engage with light and motion.
