Maaps Design & Architecture were commisioned to re design six interior executive guest bedrooms located two floors below ground. Maaps’ design brief was to create a series of adaptive, executive interior room concepts for business use within below ground space. The designers were tasked with developing refined, compact and highly individual rooms. The aim was to offer the hotel’s core clients a unique and bespoke business guest room. The project emphasis was to provide a efficient, calm and generous environment.

Creation of the artwork installation to the circulation lobby of the suites. It is interpretive recreation of the exterior landscape of the adjacent garden square. A combination of part photograph and layered glass artwork panels to form an optical, verdant, vertical hedge. The rooms achieve a high quality and refined residential feel.

They are fully focused on the functional and technological needs of a the business executive. Nothing is superflurous. The finesse and thoroughness of the design equate to the values associate within yacht and executive jet interiors. The scheme is a serious piece of hotel design expertise and an exploration of how to imaginatively utilize unproductive space. The project embraces many novel and attentively detailed elements. The rooms provide a focused and dedicated room experience for the business traveller.
