Set in tropical gardens dotted with trees, Sirai Beach is a sole use beach villa overlooking the Indian Ocean from a cliff top in Kilifi. Designed to capture the gentle breeze as it rolls in from the ocean, Sirai Beach is built in the classical Swahili coastal style so prevalent on the Kenyan Coast on which it is set.

Taking the Baobab trees in the garden as inspiration Fox Browne Creative were tasked with creating a coastal version of the acclaimed Sirai House in Laikipia. Utilising a serene and neutral colour palette the brief was to make Sirai beach seem as if it had always been there, quietly nestled in the collection of Baobab trees and completely disappearing into the landscape.

The main house is arranged around a beautiful open veranda, framing the sweeping view of the infinity pool and the sparkling ocean beyond, the scale and volume of the spaces are big and generous without sacrificing intimacy. The design brief covered everything from the building through to the food served to guests. Every detail was crafted and imagined with the guest at the heart of everything, Sirai Beach is a true beachside paradise, perfect for lazy days, poolside parties and happy memories.

Its interiors and styling are infused with an eclectic and luxurious feel, artisanal pieces were sourced from Kenya, Morocco, India and South Africa. Yet with the simple use of materials including tadelakt plaster, terrazo and wood crafted by local tradesmen.  Sirai Beach maintains it’s identity and feels unmistakably Kenyan, true to its Swahili coast location.
