The goal was to create a modern, unique and timeless design for the lobby, whilst linking all of the main elements which are inspired by nature. The spirit of the concept was born from a beautiful artistic tree at the entrance, flowing throughout the ceiling with illuminated layers to create visual interest and an architectural focal point. The design and execution of this tree was challenging for the designers, yet very rewarding. The Foyer entrance, highlighted by a fresh green preserved Moss wall, is energised with a contemporary flare of a customised modern and welcoming concierge desk.

Innovative materials of artistic textured cast glass, in hand washed blue tones, are used to represent the ocean, setting a calming ambience. The beautiful Mah Jong by Roche Bobois, tailored in the vibrant and refined Missoni Home fabric collection, resembles the garden and flowers. This is then complemented by the exquisite Iron Tree cocktail table collection, hand-made by an artisan who weaves several continuous meters of stainless-steel wire around the structure to create a stunning table, inspired by a tree trunk. Luxurious white stone slabs were used throughout the space to create a clean and minimalistic interior and allow the vibrant colours to pop against them. The design concept of the swimming pool was inspired by an underwater world, linked to a modern, minimalistic interior to create a peaceful and vibrant ambience for swimming.

The design integrates seamlessly with the wider environment, based on its creative nature inspired concept, which links to all of the main elements, greens, trees, gardens and the ocean. Throughout the lobby, all of the design details and elements were customised and handmade through team efforts to suit the concept and bring Nahal Gamini’s vision into a reality.

Vancouver Development and Nahal Gamini have ensured that the authentic, nature inspired design concept flows throughout the project. The concept has then been combined with extensive, artistic handmade detailing, to create a beautifully modern and timeless lobby/public area with an inviting and relaxing ambience.
