The St. Regis Hotel Hong Kong is located in the centre of Wan Chai district, a redevelopment of the CRC Exhibition Centre bound by Fleming Road, Harbour Road and Gloucester Road. The redeveloped project with a total gross floor area of 99,000sqm consists of a hotel with 129 guest rooms, hotel facilities within its podium and 367 parking spaces in the basement.

Completed in 2019, the St. Regis became a new star in the hospitality landscape in Hong Kong. A new landmark that shines in the day and at night in the heart of Wan Chai. St. Regis Hong Kong is adjacent to the headquarter building of China Resources – with an exclusive arrival hall. All common facilities including the swimming pool are housed at the podium with a bridge linked to the headquarter building of China Resources. To integrate into the wider environment, St. Regis integrated into the Wan Chai elevated walkway system, connecting with Wan Chai Central Area and the Northern Area.

This project has been specially designed and developed with the metallic finished pyramid shaped motif to compose a 3-dimensional and sculptural exterior. Coherent in colour to the headquarter building of China Resources, the metallic finished pyramid shaped motif created a sculptural aspect that changes in expression at different times in a day. An expression that has been described as “a glowing diamond in the city”.

The modularity in design is said to help ease the construction, however, the variations in the angle of the metal cladding gives the building a unique expression with a different reflection of lights at different times in a single day. The uniqueness of the exterior design gives the new hotel building a special character and makes a new landmark of the district.
