Tremend had the pleasure to redesign the hotels interiors which has Large windows, open views, long terraces and green roofs, the city at fingertips. The project consisted of a modernisation and rebranding of an existing hotel building, which is located nearby monumental train station Nyugati and Westend city shopping mall in Budapest.

The Interiors of the lobby and bar are lively, full of colours and electric. On the other hand, first floor restaurant, corridors and guest rooms have more balanced colour palette – natural earthy tones as red terracotta, natural beiges and greenish hues give a charm and reflect the vibe of nearby vineyard’s towns. On the ground floor, hotel guests can find spacious lobby with reception area, relax and co-working zone. There is also a bar zone called “Axis”, where the colour scheme is darker and richer than the lobby’s. Bar concept is focused mainly on serving Hungarian wine. Over the bar there is a mezzanine floor, which one could be used as an extra co-working or VIP space.

The essential part was to correspond interiors with the exterior – its elements, colours and views, creating timeless connection filled with textures and colours referring to the neighbourhood. In Tremends opinion this kind of interaction is the key element to have a busy hotel space full of life and people.

Interior design was inspired mostly by the location of the hotel. It incorporates with the busy centre of Budapest and shows Hungarian love of wine and its manufacturing traditions. Interiors of the lobby and bar refer to the historical train station Nyugati built by Eiffel Company in 19th century.

Tremend studio is well known for its unique custom-designed furniture and graphics. For this project they have designed all the graphics for carpets and wallpaper art in lobby area.
