It was very important to the client that Hotel Villa Pamphili Roma should be an oasis in the city, a secluded refuge surrounded by greenery within a large metropolis, where privacy and a sense of peace would be guaranteed. Every element of the design needed to be extremely consistent with their philosophy focusing on the joy of living. The interior design needed to be original and distinctive, the swimming pool and spa path surrounded by greenery, and the ambience of fifth floor rooftop with its live music, wine and conviviality needed to be extra special.

The Italian resort style scheme is inspired by the location and its villas, the local seventies architecture and the legendary Italian designer Gio Ponti. Bathrooms are transformed to provide a resort-style wellness experience. Underused bathtubs are replaced with walk-in showers, walls are re-tiled with earthy textured finishes and bespoke vanities sit on rich green flooring.

Villa Pamphili Roma’s unique concept where international spirit meets Italian hospitality made it possible to create a comfortable, welcoming urban villa- vibrant interiors where nature, light and colour are inspired by ‘master of lightness’ Gio Ponti. Warm colourful palettes welcome the guest into lounges framed by fresco-effect wallcoverings, which decorate these spaces alongside patterned tiles. Rich earthy terracotta shades, inspired by local architecture and landscape, and timber finishes bring warmth and authenticity to the à la carte restaurant.

The elevated location offers a breath-taking view of the green surroundings and the city of Rome. The top floor suites are surrounded by balconies furnished with sun loungers and dining sets, enabling guests to enjoy the Mediterranean sunsets and the inspiring landscape.
