As Jupiter is located in a pristine waterfront location combined with an A-list culinary team, the level of creativity to provide an authentic and fresh Jupiter experience was paramount. The design brief built upon the legacy of Jupiter’s waterway pioneers to embody the heart of the town.

The challenge was to create a well-worn Jupiter legacy project that felt as familiar as an old fishing pole and as fresh as new sail. Experiential and theatrical were the overall design driven and branded cues with which the team worked from. Given the soaring volumes and expansive inside out spirit craft, fully created with surrounding the interior with 10 foot garage doors, the design seamlessly blends what was and what is. The design is meant to react with you and not to you as so many thoughtful design touch points are hidden for the customer to explore.

The standout feature is the over bar commercial fishing cooler/office and catwalk. As the shell was a new build, the centre core heartbeat of the design is now not just an homage to an old fish monger structure but does double duty as a working walk-in cooler and tap room. The centre core is what defines the concept and is both functional and interactive as the customers can see up through the old, expanded metal catwalk and into the now repurposed keg coolers. The centre core structure backstory was that the entire cooler, catwalk and stair assembly was a found object from an old Jupiter fishery and disassembled in all of its patina’s glory and repurposed as the overhead behemoth bar feature.

The design takes you on a true Jupiter journey, one that has its roots firmly planted in what was, what is, and what will be. More than its spectacular location on the inlet, but also punctuates its culinary landscape.
