The projects design took inspiration from the ‘Xilan Kapu’. ‘Xilan Kapu’ in the language of Tujia race is known as the flower of Tujia. The fabric’s natural elements tell of the ancient civilization through abundant patterns. Adoring all things in nature and seeking the true meaning of beauty from the ordinary, Xilan Kapu transcends history, fixes the circulation of time and space, redefines the meaning of eternity and awakens people’s perception of beauty. Thousands of threads weave into patches of colourful flowers, like cicada wings, like clouds, spreading a grand historical narrative in mid-air. It captures natural phenomena with simple materials, presents real eternal beauty, and interprets the significance of culture in architecture.  

Plain wooden grating replaces common metope, building a neat and square structure with lofty mid-air space, which neutralizes the flowers and makes the space magnificent but not common, symmetrical but not rigid. The installation is spatialized as an artistic medium, and nature is introduced into the room from the outdoors. Virtual and actual is blended, becoming the natural screen of the space. 

Hunan bamboo and the elegance of floriculture becomes an extension of regional culture within the space. It re-incorporates the background in the vision of urban life. Involving verdancy into space allows ENJOYDESIGN to infuse fresh vitality into it. With the title of “vitality”, it captures natural phenomena and reflects on architecture and environment. Under the current relationship between nature and space, it makes viewers think and respond to nature by means of point versus object, static and dynamic, as well drama. 

ENJOYDESIGN uses time, space and people as clues to deconstruct the scene into five modules in response to the changes of time and cultural inheritance, and deposits the beautiful yearning for future life. The integration of modern lifestyle and oriental aesthetic, from functional realization to balance between ancient and modern, creates a unique spiritual place with a natural, healthy and athletic attitude, returning life to people and the city to nature.
