From the onset, the Client had a clear vision of creating a venue that blends exceptional culinary innovation with an intrinsic curation of entertainment and talent. The Avenue in Atlantis the Palm is renowned for housing some of the most incredible restaurants like Gordon Ramseys Bread Street Kitchen, Nobu, and Seafire Steakhouse but nothing with an offering like En Fuego.

Designed to immerse guests in a sensorial journey through South America, the restaurant’s striking interiors are a visual feast of hundreds of authentic art pieces sourced from the continent. Bishop Design wanted to bring the soul, culture, food, music, passion, and craftsmanship of the people to Dubai. En Fuego is a celebration of their richness. The intention was to create a space that would transport you to places you might never have been. The wonder and excitement of these faraway corners enticed the designers to have fun designing something that would exhilarate the city.

Each area of the restaurant has claimed its own ambiance, and aesthetic and is a visually enticing catalogue of whimsical elements. As one moves further into the venue more and more layers are revealed, everywhere is so beautifully animated and amazing that it creates a magical experience wherever you are with no space left untouched. The idea behind it was about guests exploring these layers and seeing how they engage with them.

Paul Bishop, owner & founder of Bishop Design, visited Colombia with a team of creative specialists. Together they explored magical and peculiar antique shops, craft stores, markets, and personal collections, to find items that would each bring own unique story and soul to the restaurant. The pieces within the venue truly capture the essence of South America and come together across a multitude of spatial pockets, each one delivering something new whilst presenting guests with a different experience every time they visit. Comprising a dining room, booths, an elaborate carousel, and a tequila bar, the expansive but intimate space is filled with countless visual points and layers that unfold in front of the eyes.
