The services of Jeffrey Beers International, an award-winning design firm, were enlisted by Hard Rock Hotels to spearhead the interior design of their property. The objective was to bring to life a music-infused vision, which would be accentuated by legendary memorabilia honoring musicians from and inspired by New York City.

JBI’s hospitality design of Hard Rock Hotel New York was inspired by music in all its forms, from soundwaves to instruments to notes. The design studio also took inspiration from a bygone era of New York when jazz clubs, speakeasies, and dinner-theater performances were prevalent. The design’s purpose is to instantly transport guests to an engaging and exciting atmosphere that exudes the entertainment energy of New York, the culture and history of Hard Rock, and the artistry of music and performance. To achieve this, bold materials such as dark woods, marble, brass finishes, and tactile leather and velvet fabrics were used. 

The color palette includes the property’s signature blue, rich browns, warm golds, brass, metallic silver, lush greens, and vibrant reds, making it both modern and timeless, exciting and youthful, inviting and warming.

Music is expressed artistically in meticulous detail throughout every area of the hotel. Each space reveals a design or sculptural homage to musical instruments such as guitars and brass wind instruments or music notes and sound waves.

The hotel’s design gives the impression of a world within a world, welcoming and embracing guests as they embark on their musical journey throughout the hotel. The circular and linear details, reminiscent of musical records and instruments, combined with pops of chrome silver, give the space an electric feel. The overall artistic look appears to have an abstract visual movement.

In conclusion, the Hard Rock Hotel New York’s interior design, spearheaded by Jeffrey Beers International, combines music, history, and culture to create an exciting and engaging atmosphere. The meticulous attention to detail and artistic expression of music in every area of the hotel provides guests with a unique and immersive experience.
