Hotel Aurea Logroño, located in the historic centre of Logroño, La Rioja, is a stunning 5-star boutique hotel that seamlessly blends the luxury of the art deco style with a modern twist. Designed by Estudi Isern Associats, the hotel boasts 41 rooms, a restaurant, a spa, and a breathtaking rooftop that offers panoramic views of the city.

The project to transform the former post office from 1939 into a boutique hotel was an ambitious undertaking, especially given the narrow plot of land on which the building is located and the pre-existing conditionings of its structure. The building had been subjected to numerous unsuccessful interventions over the years, leaving it in a precarious state. As a result, the project required a complete demolition of the interior while still maintaining the original facades.

Estudi Isern Associats approached the project with a deep respect for the identity of the building and its surroundings, which had been muted for many years. The design was carefully crafted to articulate the building with the city and the neighbourhood, creating a seamless integration between the two. The result is a stunning hotel that blends seamlessly into its environment, while at the same time providing guests with a luxurious and modern experience.

The interior of the hotel is a testament to Estudi Isern Associats’ skill and attention to detail. The designers were able to create a space that is both comfortable and elegant.
