Nicola Rossio Hotel is a beautiful and elegant hotel located in one of the most emblematic Plazas of Lisbon – The D. Pedro IV plaza, most known as Rossio Plaza. It boasts 29 spacious and tastefully decorated rooms, each one a masterpiece of design that perfectly blends history with modernity. The hotel is situated in a Pombaline building that has been completely restored and transformed into a luxury hotel.

The hotel’s interior design was inspired by the centenary Nicola Café and the surrounding Rossio Plaza. The main theme of the hotel’s design is a deco and geometric style that can be seen throughout the entire space. The materials and shapes used in the building, such as the walnut wood, nero marquina marble stone, and golden brass, are all characterized by their timelessness and nobility. These materials create an elegant and sophisticated atmosphere that is perfectly suited to the hotel’s location in the historic Rossio Plaza.

One of the standout features of the hotel’s design is the use of green sage, which was inspired by the two imposing statues in bronzed iron that lie in the Rossio Plaza fountains. These statues, which have rusted over the years and have taken on a greenish tone, were the inspiration for the color scheme used throughout the hotel. The green sage color is complemented by black and white tones, which are characteristic of the Portuguese pavement that can be seen in the wave-shaped pavement of Rossio Plaza and in the details throughout the hotel’s interior.

The furniture in the hotel is carefully chosen to accentuate the deco and geometric style, with emphasis on geometrical shapes and mirrors. The result is a harmonious and visually stunning space that seamlessly combines history and modernity.

Nicola Rossio Hotel is a beautifully designed hotel that perfectly captures the essence of Lisbon’s historic Rossio Plaza. The designer Às Duas por Três has created a unique and sophisticated space that seamlessly blends history with modernity, and the hotel’s deco and geometric style is a perfect reflection of the designer’s creativity and vision.
