Perkins Eastman Architects designed the St. Regis Amman, a magnificent 16-story hotel situated in the heart of Jordan’s capital. The hotel comprises 260 guest rooms, 80 serviced apartments, and several luxury amenities, including the largest pillarless ballroom in the city. The design team took inspiration from the St. Regis brand’s rich history and Jordan’s diverse cultural heritage, fusing elegant details with contemporary charm to create a beacon of luxury for Jordan and the region.

Throughout the design process, creating an authentic space was a priority for the team, evident in every detail of the hotel. The central arrival courtyard serves as the heart of the development, providing a unique arrival experience that welcomes guests into the hotel. The entry leads to a grand lobby staircase, a bespoke element of all St. Regis hotels, enhanced with beautiful Greek columns inspired by the Temple of Hercules, located a few miles from the hotel.

The Jerusalem limestone facades open onto glass balconies, offering breath-taking views of Amman and the surrounding area. The splendid interior design features locally sourced materials and natural stones, drawing inspiration from the Red Sea’s crystal waters and Petra’s sculptured stones. Art plays a central role in the hotel’s design, reflecting the local culture’s creative expression. The corridors and public spaces showcase an exquisite art collection, carefully curated to celebrate highly talented artists from Jordan and the Levant region.

The St. Regis Bar, influenced by the iconic King Cole Bar located at the brand’s flagship in New York, features a captivating mural named The Arabian Horses paying homage to Jordan’s Hashemite Kingdom’s history and the legendary Arabian horses’ majesty. The hotel’s luxurious amenities and attention to detail make it a destination for discerning travellers seeking an authentic, culturally rich experience in Jordan’s capital city.
