Lázaro Rosa Violán Studio, renowned for its distinctive ability to fuse cultural essence with architectural spaces, embarked on a transformative journey when tasked with encapsulating the soul of Spanish culture within a magnificent 18th-century neoclassical building—now known as the Montera Hotel. With a vision to intertwine Spain’s art, traditions, and vibrant spirit, the studio crafted an immersive experience, harmonising elegance and contemporary dynamism reflective of Montera Street’s eclectic charm.

In a captivating blend of reverence and modernity, the studio embraced the heritage of bullfighting as a subtle yet profound motif, delicately weaving its essence throughout the hotel’s fabric.

The rooms epitomise refined luxury, embodying a serene oasis adorned with trimmings mirroring the vivid hues of bullfighters’ costumes. Simple yet sophisticated lines define the furniture, intricately incorporating contemporary Castilian elements while exuding an effortless graphic allure. A defining touch, the gallant with the Montera, exudes sophistication, infusing each room with an iconic allure.

This ode to restrained elegance within the rooms stands in stark contrast to the spirited vivacity echoing through the communal spaces. Vibrant and exuberant, these areas pulsate with the unrestrained energy of Madrid’s essence—reflecting the city’s vivacious, daring, and sociable nature. It’s a visual symphony where colours intermingle, embracing a more audacious, free-spirited design, mirroring the eclectic amalgamation of cultures and styles that define Calle Montera.
