HBA has masterfully crafted a hotel interior design in Chandigarh that merges modern architecture with subtle traditional touches, providing guests with an immersive experience of playful details and sophisticated furnishings that capture the unique spirit of the city. Inspired by the principles of Le Corbusier—space, light, and order—the design features bold colours, playful patterns, neat textures, and clean modern forms, all infused with French and Punjabi culture.

Upon entering the hotel, guests are greeted by a fascinating explosion of experiences. Yellow mirror panels transport them into a reimagined Punjab mustard field, interpreted through Corbusier’s style and sensibility. The arrival experience is further enriched by experimental art and bespoke ceiling installations that reflect the city’s evolution. A sculpted staircase invites guests to immerse themselves in the cultural richness of the surroundings, while timber slats signify harvests, framing a journey of transforming experiences.

The all-day dining area is a vibrant tribute to Le Corbusier’s persona and French lifestyle, blending modern, industrial, artful, glamorous, and traditional elements into an eclectic ensemble. The ballroom ceiling, studded with bespoke crystals, and the phulkari carpet pattern, along with brick walls featuring brass inlay on concrete floors, create a sophisticated yet culturally resonant space. Meeting rooms showcase hand-tufted carpets and blue shelving inspired by Corbusier’s colour palette, expanding surfaces and spaces into playful canvases.

Guest corridors, adorned with moody lighting and groovy carpet patterns, lead to guestrooms and suites designed for modern, refined living. Each room features a serene colour palette with two-tone wall paints, fluted panels, and ombré drapery. Inspired nightstand lamps, rattan interwoven designs, classic bathroom tiles, and intimate closet displays and minibars offer a luxurious and warm experience. The inclusion of a convex mirror symbolically sums up the infinite plush experiences available to guests.

HBA’s design for this hotel in Chandigarh seamlessly blends drama and calmness, glamour and intimacy, creating a space that is not only visually stunning but also deeply connected to the cultural and historical fabric of the area. This project stands as a testament to HBA’s ability to innovate while honouring tradition, offering guests an unparalleled stay that is both sophisticated and profoundly evocative.
