The hotel complex known as “Olivar Suites,” boasting an impressive capacity of 120 suites along with communal structures, has been meticulously crafted under the visionary architectural prowess of AUDO. Nestled within the enchanting landscape of Messonghi, Corfu, Greece, this establishment embodies the essence of minimalist luxury while harmonizing seamlessly with a centuries-old olive grove and the pristine beachfront of the Messonghi area.

Situated within the jurisdiction of Corfu Island, “Olivar Suites” forms a village-like arrangement of autonomous suites, artfully encircling the sculptural olive trees. This layout gracefully guides guests towards the beachfront, affording them an unobstructed panoramic view of the azure sea. The primary objective behind this design was to honor the region’s distinctive architectural heritage and the natural splendour of the ancient Olive Grove, ensuring that each visitor experiences a profound sense of discreet opulence, much like the venerable olive trees that have been respectfully preserved.

The architectural composition of Olivar Suites achieves an exquisite equilibrium between modest, earthy structures and opulent interior design elements. This equilibrium is further enriched by the pervasive presence of nature, infusing every facet of both private and communal spaces with the essence of the Mediterranean – its fragrances, hues, and breezes, all coalescing to create a bespoke, tranquil haven for hospitality.

A paramount consideration throughout the design process was the preservation of the existing olive grove. As such, the layout ingeniously embraces the natural formations of the trees, encapsulating the verdant flora to create numerous inner gardens that grace both private bungalows and communal areas. These inner courtyards, interspersed between the bungalows and communal zones, pay homage to the traditional squares and meandering alleys emblematic of Corfu’s rich architectural heritage. AUDO’s visionary design for Olivar Suites not only elevates the concept of luxury hospitality but also stands as a testament to the enduring harmony between human creativity and the timeless beauty of the natural world.
