Studio Frantzén at Atlantis The Palm is a testament to Bishop Design’s mastery of storytelling through interiors. Led by Paul Bishop, the design seamlessly blends Nordic elegance with Dubai’s bold dynamism, creating an immersive dining experience that reflects chef Björn Frantzén’s fusion of Scandinavian and Asian influences.

Inspired by the raw beauty of Scandinavian landscapes, Bishop Design incorporated wood, stone, and metal, contrasting them with contemporary elements that echo Dubai’s vibrancy. Thoughtful spatial zoning guides guests through distinct yet interconnected areas, from intimate dining spaces to the theatrical open kitchen and lively bar, ensuring a dynamic yet cohesive flow.

A standout feature is the atrium ceiling, reminiscent of a forest canopy, where filtered light enhances the ambiance. Below it, a striking chandelier—evolving through multiple design iterations—serves as both an artistic statement and a tribute to Scandinavian reverence for light. Further deepening the narrative, bespoke wallpaper was crafted pixel by pixel using images of Bishop’s rings, reflecting Nordic folklore with a contemporary twist.

Playful yet sophisticated details, like the bear sculpture at the entrance, infuse personality into the space. Every design choice balances form and function, ensuring guests not only inhabit the space but feel its story unfold around them. Through meticulous craftsmanship and innovative design, Bishop Design has created a restaurant that is as much an artistic journey as it is a culinary destination, perfectly aligned with Atlantis The Palm’s vision of immersive luxury.
