At the heart of the newly unveiled Sofitel Canada, the country’s sole location of the iconic brand, art becomes more than decoration—it becomes an obsession. For interior designer 2pirdesign, art is fully integrated into the essence of the space, guiding every detail and creating an experience that is both elevated and unexpected.

Nowhere is this philosophy more evident than in the Maison’s sunroom, where light and air seem to breathe through the architecture itself. Champagne-toned arched frames rhythmically repeat along the two-story façade, filtering sunlight in gentle golden hues across a space defined by grace and refinement. Beneath, a mosaic-like carpet in ornate shades of turquoise evokes the lush, stylized flora of a French garden.

Delicate brass accents shimmer like fine jewelry, subtly enhancing the overall elegance without overwhelming it. Velvety seating in muted tones of blue and cream invites leisurely repose, while polished stone tables—with deep blue veining and hints of molten gold—provide the perfect setting for fine porcelain and glassware.

A server moves with fluid elegance, placing a latte with cloudlike foam beside a pastel plate of macarons—crisp on the outside, silken within. Each detail, from the mosaic underfoot to the interplay of textures and finishes, is carefully considered.

The space achieves an exquisite balance between interior sophistication and natural serenity. Lush greenery beyond the windows appears to merge with the interior, dissolving boundaries and evoking the ambience of a sun-dappled Parisian courtyard. With this project, 2pirdesign has crafted not just a space, but an immersive moment—elegant, sensory, and artfully timeless.
