ANIML Steakhouse by Nivek Remas redefines Toronto’s dining landscape with a bold fusion of 1970s decadence and primal energy. Located in the heart of the city’s Entertainment District, the restaurant transforms a former industrial space into a luxurious, immersive environment that celebrates glamour, indulgence, and unrestrained spirit.

Drawing inspiration from the allure of Studio 54, the design layers high-gloss wood paneling, gold leaf ceilings, and animal-inspired textures to create an atmosphere of theatrical sophistication. At the heart of the dining room, a dramatic mirror-encased, suspended bull serves as the sculptural centrepiece, its reflection amplifying the surrounding opulence while symbolising strength and sensuality. Every element, from antique mirrors to cascading fringe lighting, contributes to a sensory experience that balances spectacle with intimacy.

The design succeeds through its meticulous orchestration of texture, reflection, and rhythm. Gold surfaces shimmer under ambient lighting, plush seating contrasts with sleek architectural forms, and mirrored planes extend the visual depth of the room. This interplay transforms ANIML into a space that blurs the line between restaurant and art installation, offering guests not just a meal but a fully immersive encounter.

In dialogue with Toronto’s vibrant nightlife, ANIML embraces the Entertainment District’s energy while elevating it through refinement and intentional design. Conceived as a hidden gem along Wellington Street West, the project encapsulates Nivek Remas’s mastery of atmosphere where boldness meets precision, and where design becomes an act of performance. The result is a dining destination that is both transportive and unmistakably of its city.
