Icon Mykonos is a hospitality project conceived and executed by Angelos Angelopoulos Associates Design+, an interior design firm renowned for its refined aesthetic and contextual sensitivity. The project redefines discreet luxury through a design philosophy rooted in minimalism, authenticity, and the seamless integration of architecture and landscape.

Inspired by the essence of Cycladic architecture, the design embraces simplicity, clarity, and balance. The primary objective was to evoke a sense of quiet luxury—an atmosphere where proportion, light, and material integrity converge to create harmony and calm.

Situated on a hillside in Mykonos, the complex unfolds as a dialogue between built form and natural terrain. The architectural composition follows the slope of the site, ensuring unobstructed views of the Aegean Sea and horizon. Traditional craftsmanship, expressed through local stonework, is complemented by contemporary detailing and precise geometry.

Materiality is at the heart of the project’s identity. Natural stone, cement finishes, and timber are employed in their purest state, allowing light to animate the spaces and define their character. The interplay of illumination and shadow enhances spatial depth and rhythm.

Each suite has been conceived as an independent retreat, offering a sanctuary of balance and serenity. Through restrained geometry and a neutral palette, the spaces foster a seamless connection with the surrounding landscape. Embedded harmoniously within the Mykonian topography, Icon Mykonos stands as a testament to Angelos Angelopoulos Associates Design+’s commitment to creating timeless architecture that resonates with place, authenticity, and understated elegance.
