Bevis Design Associates were appointed by the owning company and developer to provide a complete Interior Design service for this new luxury resort hotel and spa.

The hotel comprises 275 guestrooms and suites, a 1000M2 ballroom and meeting room facilities, 3 restaurants and bars, various lounge areas, shops and one of the largest spa and wellness facilities in the world. Located over three floors, approximately 6000M2, the facilities include many diverse therapy and treatment rooms, many thermal, spa and pool facilities, relaxation areas, fitness, general wellness facilities, retail, dining and bar areas. The beauty and cosmopolitan lifestyle of Alexandria, mixed with its historical heritage and architecture, inspired the interior design proposals for this luxury resort hotel and spa.

The large open public areas with their unique design features, relevant to this resort and its location, incorporating elements of local influence with particular attention to arabesque detailing such as intricate in-laid floor patterns, decorative wall niches, mosaics and mashrabiya patterns in the millwork and some furniture, all depicting a sense of location in an interesting, unique and subtle way. The design provides a thrilling sense of arrival, followed by interesting food and beverage areas and public areas. Well planned with attention to detail, the design is interesting, fun and unique, meeting all of the operator’s brand standards as well as achieving a sense of location. Guestrooms and suites are spacious, relaxing and responsive to the guests needs.
