Located inside Toronto’s majestic castle, Casa Loma, BlueBlood Steakhouse offers a refined dining experience in an upscale environment. The one of a kind space offers a modern and edgy feel with a juxtaposition of classic heritage architecture, unique heirloom antiques and modern art pieces by Warhol, Mr. Brainwash and Salvador Dali. Offering a modern twist on the classic steakhouse, the menu highlights various cuts of the finest beef from around the world, as well as fresh seafood and an extensive international wine and spirit list.

Historic Casa Loma is one of the largest castles in North America and was once the largest residence in Canada at more than 64,000 square feet. Built in 1914 by financier Sir Henry Mill Pellatt (1859-1939), the castle has become one of the towering symbols of Toronto’s illustrious past. In 2014, Liberty Entertainment Group transformed Toronto’s historic castle into a vibrant complex featuring prolific cultural and private events, and in 2017 launched the ground-breaking BlueBlood Steakhouse.

BlueBlood encompasses two rooms on the western side of the main floor of the castle: the more traditional Oak Room, which is done all in original oak, and the Billiard Room, originally the recreation space of the castle, which makes for a perfect lounge and bar area. The restaurant features genuine leathers, real Canadian cowhide and 100 per cent walnut wood tables. Everything is true Canadian, with classical elements with a modern twist. BlueBlood had to adhere to the historical nature of the space, meaning that most of the primary design elements are reflected in the furnishings and artwork.

As BlueBlood Steakhouse is housed in Casa Loma, a heritage landmark completed in 1914 which operates as a museum and special event venue, it was important that the design fit well within the castle and did not detract from the visitor experience. BlueBlood Steakhouse pays tribute to the castle’s rich history and distinct architecture while creating a space for guests to experience while dining or when viewing as part of their Casa Loma tour.
