Tasked with the commemoration of Omni Hotels and Resorts’ heritage, the golf culture’s historical significance, and the PGA of America, Jeffrey Beers International embarked on delineating a refined design narrative for the project’s interiors, grounded in the studio’s characteristic approach characterized by layers, meticulous details, and guest-centric design principles.

The interior design endeavor adheres to a central directive of opulence and intimacy, featuring whimsical yet tasteful references to Western vernacular and the distinctive attire associated with golfing. This overarching theme permeates the public areas of the hotel, spanning food and beverage establishments, the spa, the clubhouse, as well as the private guestrooms, suites, and ten exclusive villas.

Beginning with a foundation of blackened steel, oak, and limestone, the material palette incorporates elements such as smoked glass, perforated brass, and antique bronze to enhance visual interest. A predominant color scheme leaning towards masculine blues and greys is complemented by accents of amber, burgundy, and greens. Texan influences, including plaid, cowhide, and chevron motifs, evoke a sense of local identity without overshadowing the contemporary design aesthetic.

In collaboration with the Oakland-based creative collective, Local Language, the studio curated local artworks inspired by both the sport of golf and the captivating narrative of Texan cowboys and ranchers.

Through homage to Texan culture and Western traditions, the endeavor endeavors to articulate a sophisticated visual narrative that pays tribute to the esteemed legacy of the Omni brand, the venerable history of golf, and the significance of the PGA of America.
