Sky Villa by House of Vara

House of Vara has completed the Sky Villa at Battersea Power Station, a luxurious penthouse that merges industrial heritage with refined contemporary living. The project embraces the raw architectural character of the iconic building while reimagining it through modern craftsmanship, bespoke detailing, and a focus on comfort and elegance.

The interiors are defined by clean architectural lines softened with layered textures and carefully selected finishes. Bespoke furniture and joinery play a central role, crafted with precision and enriched with inset details that highlight artistry and individuality. A palette of natural stone, rich timbers, brushed metals, and tactile fabrics strikes a balance between warmth and sophistication, while muted tones enhance the serene atmosphere throughout the home.

Lighting design was integral to the project, with bold feature pieces acting as sculptural statements and layered illumination enhancing depth and mood. Open plan living areas maximise natural light and sweeping views of London’s skyline, with furniture arrangements deliberately positioned to frame the vistas and create a seamless sense of flow.

The master bedroom exemplifies calm sophistication, with silk wall coverings that introduce a subtle lustre and soft tactility. A handcrafted headboard with inset finishes and elegant stud detailing anchors the room, while plush fabrics and polished metals add comfort and refinement. Positioned to overlook the River Thames, the bedroom blurs the boundary between private retreat and expansive cityscape.
