Hunter & Belle Ltd has transformed the kitchen, dining and living areas of a luxury family home in Cheshire, creating a sophisticated open plan environment that combines contemporary elegance with everyday practicality. Centred around the dramatic use of Calacatta Viola marble, the redesign has turned a previously unbalanced layout into a cohesive and highly functional living space that serves as the true heart of the home.

Practicality remained equally important throughout the project. Designed for a family with two young children, every surface, upholstery and cabinetry was selected for its durability as well as its appearance, ensuring the home could comfortably accommodate cooking, homework, family meals and daily routines while maintaining its sophisticated character.

Hunter & Belle Ltd also carefully zoned the open plan layout to encourage interaction while allowing different activities to take place simultaneously. A relaxed family snug provides a comfortable retreat without distracting from the prominence of the kitchen, while a bespoke bar has been seamlessly integrated into the main living space to encourage informal entertaining without relying on the home’s dedicated basement entertainment suite.
