Patsy Blunt Interiors
Patsy Blunt Interiors have been shortlisted for Residential Project Value £1-2.5 Million Award in The International Design and Architecture Awards 2021.
Patsy Blunt Interiors designed this fabulously luxurious apartment in the notoriously upmarket area of London, this was a full-service design project from joinery and flooring to accessories. The 9,000 sq. ft. property features, among other things, a wine room, games room, drawing room, bar and annexed staff flat. Patsy Blunt Interiors was responsible for project management, interior design, and dressing of this spacious apartment. They were appointed by a private client to obtain all necessary permissions to fully refurbish and furnish this exclusive and luxurious property in prime central London. From appointment to installation the project was completed within a nine-month time frame.
The property included a complete redesign of all spaces including a opulent dining room, a superb master suite with en-suite bathroom and generous dressing room, along with five further bedrooms all with en-suites. The client wanted a rich and luxurious colour palette for the entertaining areas whilst keeping the bedrooms in softer and calmer tones. The layouts have been carefully designed for modern living and every finish was chosen with detail and quality in mind. A key feature of the property is the bar area, it is impressive as well as inviting and the client specified that the apartment would often be used for entertaining.
There is an open plan reception area which maximises light and the feeling of space. These features were important as prior to renovation it was a very dark and soulless property, and the clients’ specifically requested a light and contemporary look. The high ceilings allowed us to incorporate some stunning statement fabrics and deep pelmets to create a really impactful look without overwhelming the space.
The luxurious design of the property is fitting with the building and the area that surrounds it. The Bromptons, Rose Square is a stunning period building that was originally constructed as a Hospital in 1844 and subsequently re-developed by Northacre in 1997 to create an exclusive, modern and highly secure gated development that retains many of its original architectural attributes.
