Tell us a little about your background in design (education, experience, etc) In 2009, I graduated from the Department of Environmental Art and Design, College of Art, Southwest University for Nationalities, with a bachelor’s degree. I graduated in 2013 with the Southwest University for Nationalities Graduate School of Fine Arts Department, received a master’s degree. From 2012 to 2015, I worked in Sichuan Xiangdu Decoration Design. In 2015, I founded View Dimension Design. In 2020, we won the bronze award of CIID Hotel and Club Engineering in China interior design competition. In 2020, we won the Outstanding Space Design Award. In 2020, we won the Cotton Tree China Design Award 2020 Interior Design Award. We won Isa Design Hotel of the year at the Global Hotel Festival in 2021. In 2021, I was awarded the Outstanding Young designer of 40UNDER40 China (Sichuan).

How would you describe your personal interior design style? Personally, I prefer modern style and Chinese cultural style.

Where does your design inspiration come from? My design inspiration often comes from nature and life.

In what direction do you feel that design is moving towards in a general sense? I think the design is developing in a direction that is more humane and more in line with the aesthetic and needs of the future.

Name five key themes to consider when approaching design in 2023 and beyond. Future design needs to consider the following five key points: 1: classic 2: cultural connotation 3: meet market needs 4: care 5: novel sense of experience.

If you could offer one piece of advice when it comes to interior design schemes, what would it be? Pay attention to the comfort and experience of space users.

How important are The International Hotel & Property Awards as recognition of talent and achievement? This is very important to me., this is not only an award for us, but also the recognition we get in the hotel design industry, but also a better new starting point.

What projects are you currently working on? A new design project of Henan resort hotel.

What was your favourite project to work on and why? Amann Hotel design project, because it is the most classic, but also the best brand hotel.

What was your most challenging project to work on and why? An old building, converted into a residential and restaurant project.Because of the limited budget of the customer, it is necessary to meet the design and use functions in this case, and there is also a contradiction between the old building and the new design, but in the end, through our efforts, we successfully completed the project and got the satisfaction of the customer.

Which products/services could you not live without when designing? Go to the project site to experience, learn about the local cultural background, and look for inspiration and elements.Pay attention to the relationship between man and space, man and nature.

What are your aims and goals for the next twelve months? Through continuous learning and hard work to do more challenging projects.

Final thoughts; tell us a little more about yourself and your daily inspirations: I prefer to look for design inspiration in nature and life, because it’s really interesting. I will also travel to more places, learn about the local culture, and express it through design. For example, the bamboo forest is illuminated by the sun, light and shadow scattered on the mottled walls, there will be a silhouette effect, very artistic conception.
