Kitchens by Holloways has completed a striking open plan kitchen renovation in Surrey, transforming a once cramped and fragmented ground floor into a light filled family hub that combines elegant entertaining spaces with highly practical day to day living.

Working in collaboration with Christopher David Design Ltd, Kitchens by Holloways was commissioned to design and build bespoke cabinetry for a complete reconfiguration of the home’s principal living areas. The brief called for a cohesive layout that would zone the expansive footprint without compromising the sense of openness and connection throughout the space.

The success of the project lies in its balance of luxury and practicality. Kitchens by Holloways used bespoke cabinetry and architectural ceiling details to define different zones without introducing physical walls, preserving the open plan character of the home. The design also responds sensitively to its Surrey setting through a biophilic palette and materials that reflect the surrounding landscape.

The project demanded exceptional craftsmanship, with in house British cabinetmakers handcrafting the in frame cabinetry and specialist stone fabricators meticulously aligning the complex veining of the Verde Italia granite to create a continuous, flowing surface throughout the kitchen.
