La Movida NV has been appointed to develop the full brand and interior concept for MUST, a new late-night dining destination located in the heart of Brussels. Commissioned by seasoned restaurateurs Alain Van den Hove and Abdon Chobli, known for their long-standing contribution to the city’s hospitality landscape, MUST seeks to redefine Brussels nightlife through bold design and elevated yet accessible dining.

The vision for MUST is clear: a refined, design-forward restaurant that strikes a deliberate balance between sophistication and comfort. Targeting a discerning audience-life enjoyers, theatre-goers, late-working professionals, and the culturally curious-the venue will serve until midnight, offering an elegant alternative for those who dine late and appreciate thoughtful interiors.

MUST’s identity is shaped by contrasts: warm yet bold, elegant yet approachable, timeless yet full of contemporary character. La Movida NV’s design approach emphasises a sensory journey-dimmed lighting, tactile natural materials, sculptural forms, and a spatial rhythm that adapts to different guest experiences, from intimate dinners to vibrant late-night drinks. The atmosphere exudes discreet luxury without ever feeling exclusive or intimidating.

Each zone within the space supports a layered storytelling experience. The bar and dining areas are designed to invite guests in, encourage them to stay, and leave feeling they’ve discovered something special. Subtle branding elements reinforce the feeling of being “in the know.”

La Movida NV will lead the development of a full brand identity, deliver a holistic interior concept, and oversee renovation from start to finish, creating a space that becomes a memorable fixture in Brussels’ late-night culinary scene.
