LEIVARS Interiors Studio has completed the full renovation and restoration of a three storey Victorian house designed by Thomas Chambers Hine in The Park, Nottingham, transforming a neglected property into a contemporary family home while preserving its historic character.
Unmodernised for more than three decades and suffering from significant disrepair, the property was purchased for personal reasons connected to the owner’s elderly dog. Upon taking on the project, LEIVARS Interiors Studio recognised that revealing the building’s true potential would require a complete restoration back to brickwork. Original architectural features were carefully reinstated, with artisan plaster specialists casting new ceiling roses and mouldings from surviving sections of cornicing. Lime plaster was used throughout to allow the building to breathe, while comprehensive rewiring and replumbing brought the home up to modern standards.
