Designed by Liberty Entertainment Group, Blue Bovine Steak + Sushi House is a sophisticated hospitality destination that seamlessly combines the timeless elegance of a modern steakhouse with the precision and artistry of contemporary sushi dining. Located within Toronto’s iconic Union Station, the project introduces a bold new culinary experience while respecting the grandeur of the building’s historic Beaux-Arts architecture. Complementing the restaurant is the exclusive Bovine Wine Club, a private members’ space dedicated to curated wine experiences and refined hospitality.

The design was conceived to establish a harmonious dialogue between heritage and innovation. Inspired by Union Station’s architectural character, Liberty Entertainment Group created interiors that merge sleek contemporary aesthetics with subtle industrial influences, resulting in an environment that is both welcoming and distinctive. Every aspect of the design enhances the guest journey, from the striking marble-clad entrance to the elegant dining spaces, vibrant bar, and intimate atmosphere of the Bovine Wine Club.

A carefully considered material palette reinforces the project’s refined identity. Sculptural ceiling features, classical crown mouldings, natural stone, rich timber finishes, bespoke millwork, and custom furnishings establish a timeless architectural foundation. Warm seasonal tones and layered lighting introduce comfort and intimacy, while ensuring continuity throughout both the restaurant and its private wine club.

Contemporary art provides a dynamic contrast to the historic setting, with commissioned works by Mr. Brainwash, Mr. Pinkbrush, Peter Tunney, and Toronto artist Peter Triantos adding vibrancy and character.

The completed project successfully unites contrasting culinary traditions through a cohesive interior language. Blue Bovine Steak + Sushi House and the Bovine Wine Club together deliver an immersive, elegant destination that celebrates Toronto’s evolving dining scene while demonstrating Liberty Entertainment Group’s ability to create distinctive hospitality environments that honour history and embrace contemporary luxury.
