At the heart of the scheme, Louis Zhang Studio Limited undertook a significant reworking of the ground floor, introducing a carefully considered rear extension. This intervention creates a continuous open plan kitchen, dining and living space that connects directly to the garden. Full height glazing draws natural light deep into the interior, softening the boundary between inside and out and establishing a strong visual and spatial relationship with the landscape.
The design approach by Louis Zhang Studio Limited is defined by restraint and clarity. A neutral base palette runs throughout the home, allowing natural materials such as timber, marble and soft textiles to take precedence. Rather than relying on bold contrasts, the scheme builds depth through subtle variation in tone and texture, with moments of colour introduced through bespoke joinery and furnishings.
Custom design is central to the project, with Louis Zhang Studio Limited delivering bespoke kitchen and bathroom solutions alongside integrated lighting and tailored furniture. Each element has been carefully developed to sit comfortably within the architecture, reinforcing a sense of cohesion.
The open plan ground floor now functions as a shared social space, with distinct zones defined through furniture and material changes rather than walls. Designed to be both refined and practical, the home reflects the character of its surroundings while offering a quietly confident and highly liveable environment.
