Designed by Lupine, the Beach Club reinterprets the vibrancy and optimism of the mid-century era through a contemporary hospitality lens, combining playful nostalgia with refined craftsmanship. Conceived as the social heart of the resort, the beachfront restaurant and beach club transforms the shoreline into an immersive destination where dining, leisure, and sunset rituals converge. Its predominantly semi-open design dissolves the boundary between architecture and landscape, allowing natural light, sea breezes, and uninterrupted ocean views to shape the guest experience.

At the centre of the concept is a vibrant South American dining offering, complemented by a material palette rich in warmth, texture, and expressive detailing. The design creates an atmosphere that is both relaxed and energetic, seamlessly transitioning from casual daytime dining to lively sunset gatherings and evening celebrations. Anchoring the venue is a sculptural beachfront bar that serves as both a functional focal point and an iconic architectural landmark, establishing a strong visual identity while welcoming hotel guests, visitors, and the local community.

A defining aspect of the project is Lupine’s contemporary interpretation of local craftsmanship. Traditional materials, including thatch and rattan, are reimagined in unexpected ways, transforming artisanal techniques into sculptural architectural features and bespoke furnishings. Careful consideration of light and shadow further enriches the experience, creating dynamic spatial qualities that evolve naturally throughout the day.

Reflecting the playful personality of The Standard brand, moments of surprise are thoughtfully integrated throughout the design. A notable example can be found at the restroom entrances, where custom-designed tables featuring sculptural male and female legs reinterpret conventional signage with a sense of humour and creativity.

The result is a visually distinctive beachfront destination that celebrates local culture, fosters sociability, and creates memorable shared experiences against the backdrop of exceptional ocean views and sunsets.
