Indoor and outdoor relationships were considered at every turn, supported by landscapes and architectural devices that extend living space. Contemporary in expression yet respectful of the streetscape through traditional materials, the home balances efficiency with beauty. Limewash finishes by Shay Construction, metalwork by Warren Holzman of Iron Studio, and bespoke joinery by Staackmoore and Meline Woodworking complete what the clients call their jewel box family home.
Marguerite Rodgers Interior Design transformed a dark 1970s townhouse in a tree lined Philadelphia neighbourhood into a refined urban family compound shaped by Dutch and Asian influences. The clients, experienced in international living, sought a sophisticated yet highly efficient retreat. What began as a modest structure evolved into a multi-level home arranged around an inner courtyard, with creative layouts and numerous outdoor spaces enhancing the sense of scale.
