MWM Studio transformed Lindsey Lohan’s former penthouse in The 118 building, Downtown Dubai, into a refined and sophisticated residence tailored for the high end sales market. The aged apartment was reimagined within a five week timeframe, with the new owner seeking an efficient upgrade for resale.

Shortlisted: Residential Project Value Over £10m Award
The International Design & Architecture Awards 2026
Working with a focused budget, MWM Studio prioritised impactful yet controlled interventions. The approach centred on FF&E and styling, alongside new wallcoverings, window treatments and select bespoke joinery to elevate the living areas, bedrooms and ensuites. A neutral palette was introduced, enriched with dark wood accents, layered textures and curated minimalist decor to establish a cohesive identity.
The design succeeds through simple but effective changes. Wallpaper adds depth and texture to the bedrooms, while custom curtains, sheers, furniture and accessories refine the overall composition. Styling played a key role, allowing the apartment to move beyond a generic aesthetic and instead present a distinctive yet market appropriate interior.
The four terraces were integrated with the internal spaces, strengthening the connection between indoors and outdoors and allowing the home to engage with Dubai’s winter climate. Views and experiences of Downtown, including the Burj Khalifa projections and fountain shows, become part of the everyday setting.
MWM Studio collaborated with contractors on wallpaper, paint, curtains, sheers and joinery, while Artfetch curated artwork to enhance the interior. The result is a considered transformation that demonstrates how thoughtful design and precise styling can reposition a property as a desirable, high end home.
